Talk to the studio
Email us with Expense Tracker Support in the subject. Include your device model, iOS version, app version and the steps that led to the problem.
info@deepplaystudio.comPlease do not send ledger backups, receipts, customer details or payment information. If we need an example, we will help you remove private details first.
Keep a copy of your records
Open More → Backup and restore to create a ZIP backup, then save it to a destination you choose in Files. A backup can contain your expenses, sales and attached receipts. Creating an archive is separate from saving it somewhere safe; complete the Files or sharing step.
Your ledger is stored in the app on this device. There is no developer cloud copy or automatic sync. Make a backup before changing devices or removing the app, and keep the saved file somewhere you can access.
Restore a backup
In More → Backup and restore, choose your saved ZIP file and review the preview before confirming. Merge keeps records found only on your device and adds new records from the backup. Records already on this device, as shown in the preview, take the backup version, including any receipt supplied with them. Replace substitutes the imported ledger. Create a fresh backup of your current records before restoring, especially before choosing Replace or importing an older archive.
If import fails, keep the original file and note the error message for support. Do not uninstall the app to fix an import problem.
Review every scanned receipt
Choose a receipt photo or PDF, or use the camera to photograph one. Recognition runs on the device. Check the merchant, date and amount before applying the details and saving the expense; blurred or handwritten receipts may need corrections.
If the camera is unavailable, check Expense Tracker’s camera permission in iOS Settings, or use the photo picker or a PDF. Cancelling the receipt flow does not attach a receipt.
Understand your cashflow
Operating cashflow = received sales − paid expenses − refunds − provider fees. It is not accounting profit. An unpaid expense does not reduce received cash. Money due from a customer is not money received until a collection is recorded.
Check the selected report period, payment dates and home currency if a total differs from what you expected. The app names records in other currencies instead of converting their amounts.
Share a reminder or export
An open sale can prepare a payment reminder for you to share. The app does not send messages or schedule reminders automatically. You choose the recipient and destination through iOS sharing.
More → Export creates CSV or HTML reports. Check the period and scope before sharing; only share private business records with people or services you trust.
