How do I start using Softday?
Add a task, then choose whether it belongs in Now or can stay in the Library. You can add a deadline, notes and a first action to the task. Set your available minutes and focus level to help choose a realistic day. The built-in Help view walks through capture, choosing and resetting.
What happens when I reset today?
Reset changes the plan for today. It does not erase the task, its notes or its deadline. Review the reset preview before you confirm, then choose what fits the day you have now.
Why did I not get a reminder?
A deadline is separate from a reminder. Open the task and choose a reminder, then allow notifications when iOS asks. If you previously denied permission, enable Softday notifications in iOS Settings. iOS controls delivery, so a reminder is not a guaranteed alarm.
How do I back up or move my tasks?
Open Settings → Your data. Use Choose a Files location to save a JSON backup somewhere you can find again, such as a Files location you trust. Save in Softday folder keeps a copy on this device and will be removed if the app is deleted. Export task list creates a CSV file for a spreadsheet; it is not a restorable workspace backup.
On another device, install Softday, open Settings → Your data → Restore from backup, choose the JSON file and review the replacement confirmation. Restoring replaces that device’s current workspace, so save a backup of it first. Softday does not automatically sync tasks across devices.
Can I recover a deleted task?
Open Settings → Your data → Trash to review tasks you deleted and restore one. If the app has been removed, recovery depends on a backup you saved elsewhere or an available iOS device backup.
Where are my tasks stored?
Tasks, notes and history are stored locally on your device. An optional widget may show task titles and short details on the Home Screen or Lock Screen. Manual exports and system backups can create copies outside the app. See the privacy policy for details.
Is Softday Pro available?
No. The app previews planned Pro features, but they are not available to purchase in this release. Pricing and purchase terms will be shared if Pro becomes available.
What devices are supported?
Softday is designed for iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or later. App Store availability and the final release date will be shown on the Softday product page when confirmed.
